THE BUNNY HILL at Red River Ski and Summer Area opens to winter tubing after hours. That means the fun doesn’t stop when the lifts close. “It’s a really short hill, but people still have fun,” says Reed Weimer, sales and marketing manager, noting that the one-hour sessions start at 4:30 p.m.
Angel Fire Resort prides itself on offering family experiences, and the tubing hill’s three lanes offer no-experience-required winter fun. The one-hour tubing sessions are open to those at least 36 inches tall, but tinier kids can play on the sledding hill at the Nordic Center, a short shuttle ride away.
Scream down the 460-foot hill at Ski Cloudcroft, where the state’s longest summer tubing hill becomes extra thrilling when white flakes fall.
