Retirement is the perfect time to read (and reread) the great books! Summer Classics at St. John’s College is a 35-year-old seasonal program conceived in the spirit of lifelong learning. Seminars are lively, in-depth, and highly participatory conversations on enduring works that span fiction and nonfiction, math and science, and poetry and philosophy, as well as visual, cinematic, and performing arts. Attendees describe their experience as “transformational,” “restorative,” and “a soul-nurturing week spent going deep on a great text with a self-selecting group of folks who share the same passion.”
