If I could deejay a nostalgia soundtrack about the nineties, it would no doubt include Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. I still remember trying (and failing) to rap the lyrics of “Crossroads,” that bittersweet 1996 hit that pays homage to West Coast icon Eazy-E. The song won a Grammy in 1997 and preceded a slew of chart toppers. Yet, memorable as the group may have been, the golden era of Bone Thugs was destined to run its course.

If you wonder what Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone have been up to, grab a ticket to the Do or Die Turnt Up Tour on December 15 at the Historic El Rey Theater, in Albuquerque. Surrounded by interwar Mediterranean architecture, you can revisit the nineties through their rapid-fire beats.

For those looking to make an entire night of the event, visit Mezcal Tequilería, Braise, or the Hangar nearby.
