Discover the world of Abiquiú artists as they open their studios to friends old and new during one of the most beautiful times of the year in northern New Mexico—fall. The Abiquiú Studio Tour is a self-guided, driving tour that takes visitors and collectors through the village of Abiquiú and the surrounding Chama River Valley, showcasing a landscape of imposing mountains, spectacular rock formations, and the glorious rivers of the Piedra Lumbra basin.

September 11–12 (10 a.m.–5 p.m.)
The 23rd Annual Corrales Art and Studio Tour returns September 11–12 with more than 65 artists and craftspeople opening their studio doors to the public. Visitors will find art in a variety of styles and mediums including watercolors, oils, acrylics, photography, and jewelry, as well as works in clay, fiber, glass, and metal. Visit the Preview Gallery in the historic Casa Vieja Brewery, which opens Friday, September 10 from 1 to 4 p.m., and the studio tour on Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dixon Studio Tour
November 6–7 (9 a.m.–5 p.m.)
The Dixon Studio Tour—the longest-running artist tour in New Mexico—celebrates its 40th year November 6 and 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meet 46 participants, including nine who are new and four from the very first tour in 1982. Dixon is nestled in the scenic, historic Embudo Valley, 50 miles north of Santa Fe and 25 miles south of Taos. The Eldorado Arts and Crafts Association will hold its 29th annual Eldorado Studio Tour on October 23 and 24. The Eldorado Studio Tour has the largest number of artist participants in New Mexico—a truly creative community. Artist genres include painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, glass, jewelry, paper and printmaking, photography, digital art, woodworking, mixed media, recycled art, fiber, and wearable art. Artists have always been drawn to life in the spectacular Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico. The annual High Road Artisans Studio Tour, September 18–19 and 25–26, sees artists open their studios and galleries to the public. Other locations invite still more artists to show their work at group sites, all amid a landscape brushed with golden color. You can navigate the tour on the High Road Art Trail app or from a downloadable map found on the website. The app will let you call, email, or find your way to the artists’ front doors.

The Sandia Heights Artists Studio Tour 2021 has more artists, more stops, and will prove to be the best yet. This annual event has continued to grow and emphasize the community. In the foothills of Sandía Mountain, each tour stop features multiple artists displaying diverse works of art, including woodwork, oil, watercolor, and acrylic paintings, silver and beaded jewelry, glass art, fiber art, gourd art, mixed media, photography, and pottery. Taos Open Studio Tour
September 4–6 (10 a.m.–5 p.m.)
Held over Labor Day weekend, the Taos Open Studio Tour is a great excuse to wander the relaxed back roads of Taos, discover your new favorite artist, and get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what inspires different artists to create their work. You can start the tour by previewing each artist's work at the Taos Valley Lodge where you can also grab a map and decide which studios you want to visit. All studios will be open Saturday, September 4, through Monday, September 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you book your room at the Taos Valley Lodge, you'll get a 10 percent discount by mentioning the tour.
