TRISTON NOAH PAJARITO (Santo Domingo Pueblo) and Auri Poseyesva (Hopi) are among the 19 Native artists featured in Engaging the Future: The Goodman Fellowship Artists in the JoAnn and Bob Balzer Native Market and Contemporary Art Gallery at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture (MIAC) in Santa Fe. The exhibition showcases the work of artists across multiple disciplines. A 2022 Goodman Fellow, Pajarito grew up in a jewelry-making family specializing in the tufa-sand-cast technique. A Hopi basket weaver and the 2025 Goodman Fellow, Poseyesva is working to preserve the tradition of basketweaving with a goal of teaching the skill to the next generation. MIAC honors the arts, cultures, and traditions of Indigenous peoples of the Southwest.
